Event Phone: 416-866-4146

Mark Sunday, September 11, 2022 in your calendar for the 29th Annual Buddies Open. Come to enjoy a day of golf, or to enjoy the world famous sausages and BEvERages, all are welcome (families and children included!!) Our goal is to beat our last year record of $15,000 for children’s cancer related charities. To date, the Buddies have raised $95,000! If you want to play as a single or be paired in a foursome, please let us know in the Comments section.

For the September 2021 tournament, 59 donors raised a net $15,000 for Camp Oochigeas, Northern Ontario Families of Children With Cancer, Childhood Cancer Canada, Gilda’s Club of Greater Toronto, Homes4Hope, Behind Greatness, and NepalAbility.

HISTORY OF THE BUDDIES OPEN

In 1994, the North West Devils were awarded $500 for winning the Bill Bolton Consolation Men’s Hockey Championship. Excited and not knowing what to do with the bounty, we decided to put the funds towards a golf tournament and BBQ. The event was so successful it is a ritual.

Nearly the entire original Devils continue to take part in the tourney (though none have ever won), much has changed. Most notably, the bachelors have become fathers making their wives and children part of the Buddies. That is what makes it special.

This is a Scramble tournament. So get your foursomes ready. Please enter as either a foursome or as an individual and provide details in the Comments section below.

Over 80 participants take part in the annual event, which does not include the many friends and family members that attend afterwards just for the Pool, the BEvERages and of course, the world famous sausages. We’ve even added live music to spice up the ambiance.

Remember all are welcome regardless of handicap-any Buddy of yours is a Buddy of ours.

The challenge is on! Register Today.

Description:

The former Championship Course at Rolling Hills Golf Club has been transformed through a $1.5 million renovation into Bethesda Grange Golf Course, which offers both daily-fee golf and a ClubLink membership option. Bethesda Grange Golf Course is an open and forgiving golf course that still provides a challenge for better players. An easy walking course, it also features a small creek that runs through five holes. On holes three and 14, golfers are faced with the choice to lay up or try and carry the water from the tee.
