The cost of food has dramatically increased over the past few years, and those in poverty get disproportionally hit by the increase in cost. Supporting programs that aid to alleviate the burden of hunger is an area that Veritas wants to address through its philanthropic efforts. Ensuring those in-need have the required nutrition is a simple but important issue that needs to be addressed. This campaign aims to help those in our community to ensure that no one goes hungry.

Weston Area Emergency Support food bank was the grateful recipient of a huge donation of freshly purchased food. A group from Veritas, led by Marco, contacted us about making this donation. Today about 12 people arrived with their cars filled with food they purchased this morning! They unloaded it all onto our tables. I cannot thank them enough for seeing the need in our community and helping out. The food bank is serving 25% more people this year than last, and 3x as many as before COVID, so the need is significant. This donation will feed about 200 families, or about 600 individuals. That is about 7,200 meals! THANK YOU SO MUCH VERITAS!
