The Mental Health Self-Care Association (MHSCA) is a registered Canadian charity that operates as a Mental Health Resource Centre. Our mission is to promote a healthy psychological well-being and contribute to eliminating the stigma toward mental illness, leading to a decrease in mental health crises. We do so by providing our community members with resources, education, and advocacy through our essential programs; each addressing a separate risk factor that influences our mental health. We provide a variety of essential programs that promote self-care, require no personal obligation, and establish long-term mental wellness for an increased quality of life. Our Mental Health Resource Centre offers free, accessible services through out the London community. Each service we offer, addresses a separate risk factor that influences mental wellness. This includes addressing untreated trauma, enhancing food security, implementing housing supports, and establishing healthy coping skills. By creating solutions to the risk factors that impact our mental health, we are able to establish long-term wellness and prevent mental health crises in the community. In 2021, we served over 3000 community members with limited funding. Imagine the amazing impact we can have, if we are able to increase our financial supports! Thank you for your consideration, and taking the time to learn about our organization. If you have any questions, we welcome you to contact us anytime. We hope our project sparks your interest!
