The vision of Serving with Pride is one of an optimized work environment including diversity, integrity, awareness, and equity of 2SLGBTQIA+ employees within policing, Corrections and criminal justice professions, where there are no barriers, stereotypes or bias AND positive policing, corrections and criminal justice systems where organizations are sensitive to the unique needs of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and consistently build bridges to better understand and serve them.

Keynote Speaker

Spencer West, He/Him, Global Speaker | Disabled Content Creator | Author | Entrepreneur l Actor

Embarking on a journey shaped by resilience and triumph, visionary and activist Spencer West, faced adversity head-on after losing both legs at the age of five, coming out as gay at the age of 21, and navigating a world set against the queer community and those with disabilities.

Notable achievements include summiting Mount Kilimanjaro on his hands and wheelchair, opening for Demi Lovato on a World Tour, and starring in the documentary “Redefine Possible: The Story of Spencer West” a Toronto International Film Festival debut. His bestselling book, “Standing Tall: My Journey” showcases his resilience, while his re-occurring special guest appearances as “Spencer, the window washer” on the Canadian television drama series Murdoch Mysteries, underscore his diverse talents.

In 2021 Spencer was named 2SLGBTQ+ Trailblazer and #1 Breakthrough Star in Canada on TikTok and, along with Rosie O’Donnell, was nominated for a 2024 Queerty Award in the TikToker category.

Recognized as one of Toronto’s Top Ten Influencers of 2025 by the Toronto Star for his advocacy work across social media, his influence is evident in his substantial follower counts: TikTok: 4.5 million; Instagram: 440 thousand; and YouTube: over 250 thousand followers.
