The vision of Serving with Pride is to support all Police, Corrections, and Criminal Justice Professionals throughout the Province of Ontario through encouraging work environments that are diverse and understanding of the needs of 2SLGBTQ+ employees. Through training, education, and awareness we help law enforcement organizations understand the unique needs of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and assist in building bridges to understand them through positive policing. Serving with Pride promotes excellence through several Awards presented at our Gala.

The 2024 Serving With Pride Gala and Awards Night will feature an in person presentation to the “Brunswick Four” on the 50th anniversary of the discrimination against them by bar staff and police in what became a Canadian “Stonewall moment.” Our keynote speaker, Deputy Chief James Young (Retired, Orlando Police Department) will talk about his experiences as both a gay man and senior leader in law enforcement in the United States, particularly during the tragedy of the Pulse Nightclub shooting, and its aftermath.
