FUTURE FEMALE FLYERS
The averted Air Canada Pilot strike in 2024, highlighted the ongoing issues of unfair wages and quality of life faced by Canadian pilots. Despite the recent 42% wage increase, Canadian pilots still earn significantly less than their U.S. peers and many are still paying off the massive student loans needed to become certified pilots.
Tuition alone for flight training costs around $130,000. An entry-level pilot position salary begins at around $63,000, while experienced pilots earn $123,000 per year. A pilot’s median salary in the US is $171,000 and they can earn up to $344,000 per year.
There are very few scholarship programs available, and they do not offer sizeable grants meaningful enough to offset the cost.
Please help us support our young aspiring female Canadians to achieve their dream of becoming pilots.
By raising $500,000 we aim to award 20 scholarships of $25,000 each.
