UforChange’s mission is to provide arts based programming to youth who face barriers in society. Your support will keep our classroom doors open where youth can participate, gain confidence, learn new skills, get mentorship, and grab a warm meal on a bad day. Building a supportive barrier free environment helps youth learn and dream.
UforChange’s mission is to provide arts based programming to youth who face barriers in society.
Despite the impact of COVID, UforChange with all its support has been able to remain active and solvent. We have been able to maintain strong arts based programming like our photography, fashion, and music arts DJ programs.
“Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” – St Francis of Assisi
Through the pandemic, the staff and board did an amazing job to scramble and do what was necessary. Now that we have all come out of that, we are beginning to look at what is possible. As a response to the pandemic, one of the initiatives we piloted was bringing in mental health professionals in all our programming. The youth moral and attendance has been phenomenal as a result. It’s been very confirming for us that we are moving in the right direction.
The healing and empowering ability arts based program provides is immeasurable. We truly believe that without the arts, society loses its soul. The more we continue to focus on what is possible, we are confident we can accomplish what others might deem as impossible.
Your support will keep our classroom doors open as we pay all operating program costs like rent, heat, staff and food for our hunger youth.
Sincerely,
