The Canada Revenue Agency has announced that the deadline to make a Charitable Donation and receive a tax receipt to offset your 2024 taxes is now extended to February 28th, 2025. You may now make charitable donations to your favourite causes and include these in your 2024 tax returns.
This extension only applies to cash donations, including cheques, wire transfers, credit card payments, money orders, or electronic payments. Marketable securities or other capital asset donations are not eligible for this extension.
