The Veritas Foundation is pleased to welcome MaryLouise Kearns to its Board of Directors.
MaryLouise Kearns brings over 30 years of distinguished service in law enforcement, offering profound expertise in leadership, strategic investigations, and major case management.
Most recently, MaryLouise was Detachment Commander – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from 2022 to 2024. In this senior leadership role, MaryLouise guided both uniformed and civilian personnel in the Town of Caledon, Ontario. Before this, she was a Major Case Manager/Inspector with the OPP Criminal Investigative Branch (2017-2022). MaryLouise spearheaded some of Ontario’s most complex and high-profile investigations, including homicides and organized crime, and led Ontario’s largest residential school investigation.
The Veritas Foundation is a non-profit charitable private foundation. Its mission is to be Canada’s authoritative source for individuals, groups and companies to participate in the country’s charitable sector and evaluate its effectiveness and impact. To accomplish this mission, the Veritas Foundation has created the Veritas Foundation Giving Fund (VGF), a Donor-Advised Fund. Veritas also provides donors and others with independent, fair, and respectful research into Canadian registered charities to help them evaluate and choose their favourite charities.
