In this report we examine the extent of overseas activity for the Canadian Charity and Philanthropy sector.

To obtain this insight, we present the following statistical analysis over the period 2016 to 2020.

• The number and percentage of Canadian Charitable Organizations reporting Overseas Charitable
  Expenditures.
• The Number of Canadian Charitable Organizations reporting Overseas Charitable Expenditures by Charity Designation (Private Foundation, Public Foundation, Charitable Organization).
• The value of reported Overseas Charitable Expenditures.
• The value of reported Overseas Charitable Expenditures by Charity Designation.
• Overseas Charitable Expenditures as a Percentage of Total Charitable Expenditures.
• Overseas Charitable Expenditures as a Percentage of Total Charitable Expenditures by Charity
  Designation.
• Overseas Charitable Expenditures by Category of Charity.
• An analysis of Overseas Charitable Expenditures by the Province of Charitable Organizations.
• Tax-Receipted Donation Revenue from overseas donors received by Canadian Charitable Organizations.
• Non Tax-Receipted Revenue from overseas received by Canadian Charitable Organizations.
• Percentage of Canadian Charitable Organizations receiving overseas revenues.
• Canadian Overseas Expenditures as a percentage of Overseas Revenues.

We present a list of the largest Canadian Charitable Organizations reporting Overseas Expenditure in Total and by Category of Charity in an Appendix to the Report.
