We are a non-profit organization with over 35 years of experience supporting the well-being of individuals and families in our community. At the heart of our work is a commitment to reducing food insecurity across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. From infants to seniors, we are here for anyone who needs a hand-up. We believe that access to healthy, affordable food is a basic human right—not a privilege. This belief drives everything we do. With 1 in 4 individuals in our region experiencing food insecurity, our programs are designed to meet people where they are and offer practical, dignified support. Whether it's through our Good Food Box, which provides fresh produce at affordable prices, or our Good Baby Box, which offers essential baby items like diapers, wipes, and formula, we’re here to help stretch budgets and nourish families. We also operate community gardens, engage in social planning, and build collaborative partnerships that support long-term solutions to poverty and food access challenges. At CDC-Quinte, we don’t just serve food—we serve hope, empowerment, and a sense of belonging. Together with our volunteers, partners, and donors, we are building a community where no one goes hungry.
